July 12th // Mandala Painting for Peace with Donna Seelbach

$105.00

Anyone can make a mandala using universal patterns that are descriptions of the way the created world is connected to our inner nature. Painting the mandala is a great way to relax and create from a place of innocent awareness. In this class we will be using watercolor pencils, metallic markers, and/or acrylic paints. The painting of the mandala requires no previous experience with painting or drawing; just a willingness to explore the possibilities of using color and shape to formulate a design that speaks to you.

Patterns will be provided, as well as materials to create your own pattern. Visual aids will be used to provide examples of the mandala form in nature. You are free to bring your own paints. A 12” x 12” canvas and/or a fine watercolor panel will be provided.

A $20 materials fee is included in this $105 full day workshop. The material cost includes all watercolor pencils and watercolor panels, all acrylic paints, brushes, and a 12 x 12  or 14 x 14" Canvas. And drink refreshments.

This is a full day workshop on Blossom’’s farm. 9.30 am - 16.30 pm

Donna Seelbach has been painting mandalas since 2017, studying with Paul Heussenstamm from Laguna Beach, CA. She has a BFA in art education and has taught children and adults in the Santa Cruz area since 1987. Donna finds that painting mandalas helps her to become more peaceful. The painting of the mandala connects her with a place of order, symmetry, and ancient wisdom.
